Sr Program Specialist (Project Management) (Building Automation)

As a Sr Program Specialist here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in managing and executing programs within the Industrial Automation (IA) Strategic Business Group (SBG). You will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects, meeting customer requirements, and driving operational excellence. In this role, you will report directly to our Program Manager, and you’ll work out of our Des Plaines, IL location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on the success of our IA SBG by effectively managing programs and driving customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely completion of projects and the achievement of business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage and execute programs within the IA SBG, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

- Monitor program progress and identify and mitigate risks and issues.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program management processes and efficiency.

- Coordinates with the Local Installation Manager and / or Systems Team Leader for allocation of resources needed to meet project objectives. Ensures any engineering and commissioning performed by the field team is in accordance with established standards.

- Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on program status and performance.

YOU MUST HAVE

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management or a related role.

- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

WE VALUE

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.

- Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.

- Experience in the industrial automation industry.

- PMP certification or equivalent.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
