We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Data Reporting Analyst in Chicago, Illinois. In this role you will be responsible for providing support for the processing and reconciliation of risk, claims, and premium data. As a Data Reporting Analyst, you will collaborate with agents, third-party administrators, and internal business units to ensure data accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare incoming risk and premium bordereaux for processing, including translating to standard format

- Provide quality assurance of MGA data by cleaning, filtering, and running data control checks and validations using most appropriate and relevant methods

- Collaborate with agents, TPAs, vendors, underwriters, claims and finance to resolve data errors and omissions within reasonable time frames in accordance with the monthly closing schedules

- Run queries to identify any exceptions to underwriting guidelines and analyze underwriting exception query results, providing feedback to underwriters

- Run queries as needed to identify inconsistencies in bordereaux data

- Perform testing of enhancements and defect fixes for the bordereaux management system

- Update system with new catastrophe codes as needed

- Perform TPA funding report reconciliation

- Assist with other projects and tasks related to claims administration and processing.

This role requires strong analytical skills and extensive knowledge of data across a large number of different business lines. An excellent written and verbal communication skill set is a must, as well as intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge and skills in other Microsoft Office products. The ability to plan work and meet deadlines, carry out data quality control, validation and linkage, and produce and interpret clear graphical representations and data visualizations are all key to this role.

- Familiarity with Database structures and related applications

- Understanding of EO/IR systems

- Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Word

- Experience in AB Testing methodologies and application

- Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) principles

- Ability to construct Business Requirement Documents

- Experience in creating dynamic dashboards and reports

- Strong data analysis skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong problem-solving abilities

- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
