Robert Half is offering a long-term contract employment opportunity in Aurora, Illinois, for a parttime Human Resources (HR) Assistant at a mid-size manufacturing facility. This role involves supporting the Human Resources department with various administrative and operational tasks to maintain efficient HR processes, assist employees, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in the recruitment process including job postings, interview scheduling, and communication coordination with candidates.

- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires including preparation of orientation materials, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring completion of all required documentation.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files.

- Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies.

- Update HR databases (e.g., employee data, sick or maternity leave).

- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and questions, coordinate with benefits providers, and resolve any issues.

- Manage benefits-related documentation and reporting.

- Provide assistance in the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of payroll data.

- Address payroll-related inquiries from employees.

- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries.

- Support HR initiatives and employee engagement activities.

- Assist in conflict resolution and disciplinary processes.

- Knowledge of Human Resources (HR) Administration procedures and practices

- Familiarity with Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration

- Proficiency in Compliance and Employee Relations

- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred

- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
