Human Resources Generalist

Location: Highland, IL (onsite)

Pay Range: $28-32/hr

Our client a leader in the power management industry is seeking a passionate Human Resources Generalist to join their team! As a key player in the HR department, you’ll provide comprehensive support to our operational leadership, hourly workforce, and the broader HR team.

What You’ll Do:

+ Be the go-to person for employees, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.

+ Champion employee relations, including coaching, investigations, and performance management.

+ Support hourly talent acquisition, building a strong candidate pipeline and fostering diversity.

+ Onboard new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.

+ Manage employee attendance programs and processes, adhering to union agreements and regulations.

+ Partner with the HR team to maintain accurate employee records and compensation details.

+ Generate reports for budgeting, auditing, and regulatory purposes.

+ Participate in employee engagement initiatives, promoting a positive and inclusive company culture.

What We’re Looking For:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

+ Minimum 2 years of experience in HR, ideally supporting manufacturing operations.

+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building positive relationships.

+ Proficient in MS Office Suite, with a high level of attention to detail.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

+ Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Bonus Points:

+ Experience supporting a unionized workforce.

+ PHR certification.

+ Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
