Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Manager to lead public municipal projects. This role involves close collaboration with a team of Project Managers, APMs, and Superintendents to ensure seamless project operations. Responsibilities include managing client expectations, overseeing project schedules, handling submittals, change orders, and pay requests, and ensuring smooth collaboration with field superintendents and subcontractors. Additional duties involve negotiating contracts, expediting permits, and maintaining project documentation such as weather logs and safety reports.

Hard Skills

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Civil Engineering

+ 7+ years of construction experience

+ Experience with Federal Government JOC projects

+ Experience managing projects over $5 million

Soft Skills

+ Ability to manage a team of 6

+ Strong negotiation skills

+ Excellent communication skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Chicago, Illinois.

Work Environment

The office is located in Rosemont, IL, with a newly renovated modern workspace. The company has a small to mid-sized team, with some members working primarily in the field. The Project Manager will have a personal desk and is expected to travel to job sites weekly.
