Job Title: Civil Engineer

Job Description

Utilize AutoCAD/ Civil 3D to create solid waste engineering design and permitting plans, including landfills, transfer stations, and recycling facilities. Develop comprehensive engineering plans covering grading, landfill gas collection systems, landfill cell construction, infrastructure construction, storm water management, earthwork, erosion control, and more. Conduct occasional site visits, prepare CQA reports, and provide technical oversight to junior engineers. Manage projects from initiation to completion, with the opportunity to grow into a Project Manager role.

Work Environment

Based in a growing office in Naperville, Illinois, this full-time, in-office position involves working on multiple projects, with about a quarter of the work conducted on-site, requiring travel within the Greater Chicagoland area to Minnesota. Occasional overnight stays are necessary, with mileage reimbursement and per diem provided for travel. Training under sr management, with annual salary reviews and bonuses based on company performance.sr
