Job Description:

The Cloud Engineer should possess the following:

- Ability to use a wide variety of open-source automation tools for provisioning and configuration management (Ansible, Terraform, Packer).

- Ability to define pipelines in Jenkins or Harness for provisioning infrastructure.

- Ability to code and script in support of infrastructure management.

- Experience with Enterprise systems and IT operations.

- Being comfortable with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment.

- Understanding and focus on business outcomes.

- Understanding and efficiency in collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders.

Must Have:

- Over 5 years of experience working with Infrastructure as Code

- Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins

- Experience with AWS or Azure

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

Top Skills:

- 5+ years of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience.

- Terraform; Must be able to provision and build out Infrastructure with Terraform.

- Packer; Must be able to use Golden Images to Deploy OS’s on prem.

- Ansible; Use Automation with Ansible and create CI/CD Pipelines.

- Experience designing and delivering cloud services in AWS or Azure.

- Containerization experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

- This role is preferred to be on-site in Waukegan or Willis Tower, IL.

- Schedule is 4 – 5 days/week in one of the above two locations.

This role will assist with the provisioning of public and private cloud infrastructure using IaC for a Fortune 50 enterprise. The Cloud Engineer will assist with deploying solutions in the public cloud and assist with the day-to-day of managing their cloud infrastructure.

As a result of the growing demand resulting on these new Cloud initiatives, they are looking for two Cloud Engineers who can assist with supporting the design and delivery of cloud solutions, as well as, day to day to free up their internal resources to focus on net new requests.
