Job Description

As a Commercial Carpenter, you will perform a variety of general commercial carpentry tasks including but not limited to blueprint reading, selective hand demolition, rough and finish carpentry, millwork, drywall hanging, taping, spackling, finishing, metal stud framing, ACT ceiling installation, and acoustical ceilings. You will also be responsible for the installation of doors, frames, and hardware, working with hand and electric tools, and site clean-up. Your daily responsibilities will include working alongside 1-2 other carpenters and a foreman on projects such as medical office buildings, retail locations, and office fit-outs. Most projects will involve new construction with some fit outs mixed in.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Elgin, Illinois.

Work Environment

You will typically work in a team with 1-2 other carpenters and a foreman, depending on the job size. Our work environment includes 100 total field personnel who maintain a friendly and cooperative atmosphere. Dress code includes jeans, a t-shirt, and safety boots. Work hours are typically from 6 AM to 2:30 PM.
