Our client is looking to add a Scrum Master/Release Manager to drive the coordination, development, and release of Salesforce work items into production. They will be responsible for leveraging project management practices and a hybrid waterfall/ agile methodology to serve in the role of scrum master for one or more development teams and work in a multi-team environment to plan and coordinate rapid software development and frequent product releases in a regulated space. This will be 75% Scrum Master duties and 25% Release Manager duties.

Responsibilities:

Lead the daily stand-up meeting, as well as other meetings to facilitate the overall Salesforce delivery process Implement enhancements to process and ensure process is followed Arrange and run discovery sessions, sprint planning, backlog grooming, story pointing and sprint retrospectives Protect the team from external influences and safeguards the process Foster an environment where team members are self-organizing and are empowered to improve their process for building software Coordinate release activities including release approval documentation, testing, training, deployment, and post-deployment support Drive releases through challenges by managing scope, timeline, and escalation of issues to technical leads, and product managers. Collaborate with product management and regional leads to define what features will be included with each release Collaborate with DevOps and Software Quality teams to confirm the quality of release with stakeholders and ensure proper release documents are in place Support and participate in strategic projects/ initiatives, as needed Manage team meetings ensuring team focused on key tasks Compile release documentation and manage CAB process and submission Attend CAB meetings (as needed) and represent changes in accordance with the Change Management Policy and adhering to SOX requirements for Salesforce IT SOX control adherence. Partner with backlog owners to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Business Backlogs, working collaboratively across the regions and with Salesforce technical team members. Lead Technology Backlog prioritization meeting. Maintain process standards within defined SDLC toolkit, using dashboards and reports to communicate areas for process improvement and hold teams accountable for proper tool usage Help maintain software development procedures, best practices, and guidance documentation Drive continuous improvements among the team increasing velocity Collaborate with different product teams, scrum teams and offshore resources Determining and managing tasks, issues, risks, and action items. Monitoring progress and performance and helping teams to make improvements. Planning and organizing demos and product/system testing. Preparing and presenting status reports, burn down charts and other KPI reporting to stakeholders

Skills and Requirements

Salesforce.com Certified in the following areas Administrator, Sales or Service Cloud Consultant 5+ yrs in the IT field

o 3+ yrs of Salesforce

Worked in a heavily matrixed agile/waterfall environment Worked with product owners, business, functional lead and scrum team to pick up prioritized user-stories from the backlog Project experience delivering Salesforce Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud or Sales Cloud work Bachelor’s degree-Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems. Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline Scrum Certified or commitment to obtain Scrum Master Certification null
