About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Agency Originator to originate Government Sponsored Enterprise (GSE) Agency loans, loans insured by Federal Housing Administration (FHA) of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and/or balance sheet loans. In this role, you will:

+ Identify, pursue, originate and close commercial mortgages that meet the approved guidelines of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA multifamily, affordable, senior, student, manufactured housing and healthcare programs

+ Develop a sustainable book of business that is diversified across the agencies and clients with the goal of enhancing overall relationships

+ Execute on referrals from within the Corporation in a timely manner while always keeping referring team member up to date

+ If a CRE LOB or group has been assigned for coverage, proactively work the assignment under a “One CRE” approach to develop the relationship that will lead to new originations as well as educate the CRE team on Agency financing

+ Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence complex initiatives regarding loan products for advanced market intelligence to maintain results-oriented edge across Commercial Mortgage Banking

+ Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across markets, investors, and rating agencies that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking

+ Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions for credit research, loan products, rates, and terms with customers requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

+ Strategically engage with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals and serve as an expert advisor to leadership

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation, and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications:

+ 10+ years of Commercial Mortgage Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

+ Experience with and understanding of Government Sponsored Enterprise (GSE) multifamily lending programs (Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac) and FHA/GNMA multifamily lending programs

+ Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships

+ Ability to generate revenue and actively participate in the successful completion of complex transactions

+ Familiarity with the multifamily real estate markets within assigned location

+ Ability to interact effectively and confidently with senior management

+ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

+ High level of initiative and accountability

+ A BS/BA degree or higher

Job Expectations:

+ Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

Pay Range:

+ $125,000.00 – $200,000.00 USD Base Annually plus Commissions

+ This position is largely commissioned pay

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$120,400.00 – $262,600.00
