Elementary School Social Worker: 2024-2025 School Year

We are looking for a full-time Elementary School Social Worker in a highly supportive and collaborative school with a start date of August 12th. This position is well-fit for those who enjoy working with students within the special education population. Students will have more day-to-day needs, including Autism or autism-like behavior. Job Responsibilities of the School Social Worker include:

+ Assist in the early recognition and prevention of educational problems

+ Monitor student progress and make informed, timely educational decisions.

+ Participate in the development of the student’s Individual Education Plan

+ Collaboration with staff and families

+ Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student safety and success

+ Advocate for the well-being of students

+ Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications of the Special Education Teacher:

+ Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work

+ LMSW license eligible in the State of Illinois

+ Preferred experience in a K-12 setting
