This role is responsible for supporting the Sr Vice President of Infrastructure to strategically plan and prioritize business activities by aligning goals and initiatives, assist with making informed decisions to develop and drive critical strategies. In addition, this role is responsible for creating an effective, nimble organization with oversight of Service Management, HR and People related systems

Flexible Work Policy: The work for the Sr Director Technology Service & Strategy position is completed 100% remotely anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories. This position may have the potential to travel up to 20% dependent on business needs.

· Oversee the development, deployment and maintenance of a long-range strategic roadmap for the Enterprise Platforms organization including; portfolio governance, budget, engineering, mergers & acquisitions, manufacturing and corporate applications.

· Strategic collaboration with department leaders to prioritize strategic initiatives.

· Oversight of special projects and initiatives.

· Evaluating risk factors when making critical business decisions.

· Meeting management by keeping meetings focused and effective.

· Oversight over the field IT resources and 24×7 Service Desk function.

· Providing hands on support, call support, and chat support to 70+ distribution centers & Corporate offices, remote support services for 80+ specialty locations and external customers.

· Communication and collaboration with Field Leaders across the enterprise

· Driving continuous improvements based on analysis of KPI’s and effectiveness, leveraging insights and experience to drive organizational performance.

· Supports corporate functions including HR and provides technical and advisory support to the HRIS function.

· Potential travel required (up to 20%)

SUPERVISION

+ 4 Direct reports (Sr Manager Quality, Director Service, Sr. Portfolio Manager, SrMgr, People Systems)

+ Oversight of a team of 150+ IT Professionals located across the country and both on/offshore contract resources.

RELATIONSHIPS

+ Internal: Requires strong collaboration with multiple teams within IT, as well as across several business areas.? Direct relationships will exist between other areas of development, infrastructure, architecture, and security. Will interface and collaborate with various business leaders. Communication of strategy and regular interaction with Corporate, Area and Region leadership, up to and including ELT team.?

+ External: Regular interactions with technology partners and contract vendors will be required as a key part of this role.? The ability to create statements of work, negotiate rates, and working with technology vendors for technical issues will be a heavy requirement for this role.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

+ 10+ years IT management

+ Diverse IT domain experience such as: support, engineering, application development and governance.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

+ Demonstrated ability of coaching to develop high performing teams; individual and team development

+ Ability to develop metrics as key performance indicators & areas of opportunity

+ Collaboration across Corporate and Field Leadership

+ Experience in Product Delivery including Agile and Waterfall methodologiesAbility to operate with limited direction and comfortable with ambiguity

+ Ability to build strong relationships (influence, negotiation, conflict resolution) including peers and superiors

+ Ability to make decisions (alternative analysis, critical thinking, impact analysis)

+ Demonstrated analytics, problem-solving, and modeling skills

+ Strong Financial and Budget Management experience

+ Strong communication & presentation skills appropriate for Sr. Executive Management

+ Experience with vendor management

+ Demonstrated high level of executive and organizational maturity

+ Ability to handle pressure, time-sensitive and changing tasks well

Education

- Bachelors degree OR equivalent work experience

Certifications/Training

- Certifications in Continuous Improvement and Project Management methodologies or equivalent experience preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

+ Experience in Product Delivery including Agile and Waterfall methodologies

+ Experience in Portfolio Management for Hardware and Software assets

+ Strong Financial and Budget Management experience

The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. In Colorado and California, the expected compensation for this role is between $165,400 and $212,700. In New York, the expected compensation for this role is between $154,700 and $199,000. In Washington, the expected compensation for this role is between $174,900 and $224,900. This role is also eligible for annual incentive plan bonus. Benefits for this role include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.
