Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager of Crew Resources Process and Execution leads a team responsible for executing processes vital to the support of our pilot workforce and compliance to contractual obligations. The role is responsible for and supports processes including training planning and scheduling for new hire pilots and existing pilots, vacation bidding and scheduling, vacancy execution, and other processes that compose the mechanics of the pilot system. The Senior Manager will also lead a team that is directly responsible for responding to pilot inquiries and requests, maintaining established service standards and the critical relationship with our 17,000+ pilots. Finally, the Senior Manager will ensure contractual compliance is maintained, possessing a strong understanding of the provisions and implications of the UPA and implementation process.

+ Oversight of analysts responsible for planning and implementing training for New Hire, incumbent, and upgrading pilots and drives alignment and coordination with the Flight Training Center to enhance the efficiency of our plans and ensure mutual supportability.

+ Manages the efficient execution of monthly crew vacancy bids, including running vacancy snapshots, updating CCS and Flying Together, ensuring updates are accurately reflected in Pilot Records, and running associated communications with ALPA and internal collaborators.

+ Supports and handles projects related to modernization of Crew Planning tools and systems, ensuring effective collaboration with DT/IT collaborators, coordinating business needs with ALPA to ensure contractual compliance, and supporting change management within the business.

+ Handles monthly and annual vacation processes serving the 17,000+ pilots to ensure offerings align with workforce planning targets and contractual requirements are met

+ Supports and develops the Pilot Support team responsible for answer pilot requests, resourcing within the team to ensure pilots receive effective and fully researched responses to inquiries.

+ Handles the Pilot Support team processing of awards related to pilot movement, ensuring that vital dependencies of process are considered, alignment with the other work groups is maintained, and contractual compliance is upheld.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

+ Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant work experience

+ 7+ years of either: A) airline experience, majority financial and/or resource planning, or B) Professional Advisory serving airline clients with engagements across supply chain, resource planning, operational efficiency, or continuous improvement

+ Ability to lead multiple concurrent processes, ensure deadlines are met, and collaborators are advised

+ Demonstrated track-record of successfully influencing processes and decisions in a cross-functional setting

+ Self-starter, collaborative, leads up by giving status updates without follow-up

+ Natural inclination to drive improvements in ways of working, develop the team’s abilities, improve existing processes

+ Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

+ Strong attention to detail

+ MS Office with sophisticated Excel capabilities for data manipulation and analysis

+ Strong leadership skills, underpinned by emotional intelligence, that rally a team across a common purpose, while cultivating an environment that allows for span of care to thrive as their authentic selves

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

+ Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

+ Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

+ Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, or Statistics or equivalent experience in Management Consulting or Airline Management

+ Flight Ops, Inflight, Network Planning and Scheduling, Financial Planning & Analysis, or Strategic Planning/Corporate Development at a major global airline with multiple aircraft types and crew bases

+ Knowledge of Pilot contract, Pilot union, and workforce rules

+ Proven track record of structuring and evolving work processes, implementing change, leading automation/efficiency efforts
