Role Summary/Purpose:

The Accelerated Consumer Engagement and Marketing Solutions Leader is responsible for driving growth in Synchrony Bank’s business through the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives and customer engagement programs. The candidate will lead the development and implementation of innovative solutions that drive measurable results across multiple channels and touchpoints. This is a leadership position that will provide strategic oversight of teams developing and maintaining solutions across platforms and functions that support ACE initiative and Martech at Synchrony.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Collaborate across business and IT teams and leaders to explore, design, develop and implement solutions that meet strategic goals across business and technology

+ Develop and implement innovative marketing and engagement programs that drive customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty.

+ Provide technical leadership for large projects across boundaries

+ Have technical depth: Support and troubleshooting skills are a must

+ Has wing-to-wing knowledge of all Stack systems, integrations and endpoints

+ Primary lead on integrations into consuming apps and systems

+ Be the subject matter expert in one or more applications and platforms (Campaign Management, Case Management, and/or Reporting tools).

+ Ensure high standards of availability, scalability, and extensibility of supported technologies.

+ Identify new opportunities to streamline system monitoring and proactive alerts leading to fewer business impacting issues.

+ Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, partners, and vendors.

+ Work closely with an experienced staff comprising both Synchrony resources and/or 3rd party contractors.

+ Keep abreast of emerging technologies while maintaining proficiency in existing technologies.

+ Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field with MBA preferred, with minimum of 8 years of experience in Information Technology; OR In lieu of the Master’s degree, a minimum of 10 years of experience supporting Critical Information Systems

+ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.

+ 10+ years of IT experience leading and managing IT teams providing solutioning and support across enterprise applications across multiple technologies and platforms

+ Minimum 5 years of experience managing marketing applications including campaign management and supporting integrations

+ Experience developing, deploying, and supporting web-based applications in enterprise environment and knowledge of Oracle and various database environments

+ Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

+ Passion for innovation and creative problem-solving.

+ Experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

+ Strong oral and written communication skills with technical and non-technical peers

+ Deep understanding of SYF processes and tools used across IT for project and change management

+ Perform consultative analysis, reviewing constraints and developing technical requirements and design by leveraging internal domain experts, vendors, and consultants.

Desired Characteristics:

+ Experience with Marketing Solutions Systems and the interdependency of upstream and downstream systems

+ Experience with various databases and SQL Performance Tuning

+ Experience with Campaign management system

+ Strategic perspective with demonstrated accountability and execution

+ Expertise in current digital technologies (understands technical infrastructure and overall business and product strategy) and ability to translate business needs into automated designs while championing simplification.

+ Ability to achieve results in a cross-functional matrix organization involving multiple technologies, personnel, and Processes

+ Experience with Apex environment

+ Current understanding of industry trends and best practices

+ Previous Consumer Finance experience, or other credit card processing experience

+ Working experience with Agile Methodology

Grade/Level: 14

The salary range for this position is 170,000.00 – 290,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

+ You must be 18 years or older

+ You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

+ You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

+ You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

+ New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
