Job Description
The Drake Hilton Hotel is searching for a Carpenter to join their team\!
Celebrating over 100 years, our historic hotel is on the Magnificent Mile and in the famed Gold Coast area of shops, dining, and nightlife\. Walk to Oak Street Beach, Water Tower Place, and 360 Chicago\. The hotel is favored for weddings in the Gold Coast Room and home to the iconic Palm Court for afternoon tea, once visited by Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Diana\.
What will you be doing?
Constructs, inspects, measures, repairs, maintains and dismantles structures, furniture, woodwork and other related item such as doors, folding walls, windows, ceilings, tile, sheetrock and hardware to ensure a safe, attractive and well\-maintained facility\. Performs shop work, receives lumber deliveries, and cleans and maintains workshop\. Constructs signs, props and banners and hangs artwork, etc\. as needed\. Assists department in fulfilling other roles as needed\.
