The Headlines :

In the role of Strategic Planning Director ,working in Chicago, IL, you will be a part of the Strategic Planning team. You will lead strategy and planning across the Americas commercial business, and partner with senior leadership to develop their long-range plans, ultimately becoming a strategic advisor to key stakeholders.

This position reports to the Senior Director of Strategic Planning, and works closely with the Americas leadership team, Molson Coors Chief Commercial Officer, Molson Coors Chief Strategy Officer, and our M&A team in support of Molson Coors long term strategic ambition. You will be a leader on the Strategic Planning team where you will lead and coach two direct reports.

The Responsibilities :

+ Responsible for developing strategic business plans across the Americas commercial business, including where to play, portfolio/geo prioritization, critical actions, required resources, and financial projections, with a focus on Molson Coors beyond beer portfolio

+ Lead strategic initiatives and projects related to our beer and beyond beer portfolio, by providing objective thought leadership and structure for ambiguous business problems

+ Lead, coach, and develop a team of two direct reports who are also responsible for developing strategic plans and leading projects across the Americas portfolio

+ Establish strong relationships and credibility with senior leadership, ultimately becoming a trusted advisor who understands what it will take to move the business forward

+ Build frameworks and share outside-in perspectives to support the development of total Americas portfolio and geo strategy

+ Be an active participant in driving the overall culture of the strategic planning team, as we prove that strategic planning can truly help Molson Coors achieve our long term ambitions

The Other Qualifications:

+ Must have a strong background in corporate or business strategy roles in CPG, and/or strategy consulting experience

+ Ability to scope business problems by understanding both the nature of the problem and senior leadership vision, and then distil complex data into simple and actionable stories

+ Strong interpersonal skills; ability to function effectively in a cross-functional team environment as well as present to and influence senior executives on material business decisions

+ A creative and strategic thinker with the ability to coach others on how to break down high-level business problems, develop hypotheses, conduct data-based analysis to formulate solid, actionable plans to senior leadership

+ A strong bias towards being accountable and bold/decisive to keep driving projects forward and building strong relationships with senior leaders

+ Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or graduate degree preferred
