The Director of Employee Digital Experience & AI Strategy will lead the strategic development and implementation of AI-driven solutions to enhance employee experience, drive efficiency, and improve organizational agility. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the external technology landscape and a nuanced grasp of the company’s internal processes and opportunities.

Responsibilities:

+ Develop AI Strategy: Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive AI strategy for transforming digital employee experience, aligned with the HR and AbbVie’s organization’s overall business objectives and HR processes.

+ Process Improvement and Efficiency: Analyze current people-related processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Design and implement AI-driven solutions to streamline processes and increase operational efficiency.

+ AI Governance: Advocate for responsible AI practices, ensuring data privacy, security, and ethical considerations are embedded throughout the process.

+ Technology Evaluation and Selection: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and select the most suitable AI technologies and solutions that align with the organization’s needs and goals.

+ Develop clear business case for proposed solutions, including capital and expense financial requirements, tangible benefits in terms of dollars saved, and gaiting of costs vs benefits realized over time.

+ Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership, department heads, and key stakeholders to communicate the value proposition of AI-enabled solutions and gain buy-in for strategic alignment.

+ Agile Implementation: Work closely with IT, HR, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and implementation of AI-enabled solutions, driving agility and efficiency across the organization.

+ Change Management: Champion a culture of digital transformation and change within the organization, fostering adoption of AI technologies and facilitating training and support for employees.

+ Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor the performance and effectiveness of AI-enabled solutions, continuously iterating and optimizing based on feedback and data insights.

+ Thought Leadership: Serve as a thought leader in the field of digital employee experience and AI technology, representing the organization at industry events and conferences, and contributing insights and expertise to relevant forums and publications.

+ Team Leadership: Lead direct and indirect team members to maximize performance, maintain engagement and create a culture aligned with AbbVie’s Ways We Work.

+ Research and Analysis: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the AI landscape, conducting thorough research and analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the organization.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Administration, HR Management); advanced degree and/or relevant certifications preferred.

+ Certification in project management and/or process improvement (PMP, Agile, 6 Sigma) preferred.

+ Advanced presentation skills, including narrative development, content development and message delivery via PowerPoint or similar tools.

+ Proven track record of leadership and success in developing and implementing digital strategies, with a focus on AI technology.

+ Strong understanding of HR processes and organizational dynamics, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

+ Experience in researching, evaluating, and selecting AI technologies and vendors, with a keen eye for innovation and emerging trends.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

+ Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of driving transformational change and delivering tangible business outcomes.

+ Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data to inform decision-making and measure the impact of digital initiatives.

+ Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

+ Passion for technology and a commitment to staying at the forefront of digital innovation in the workplace.
