Job Description
Position Overview:As a Program Therapist, you will play a vital role in our mission by delivering specialized clinical social work services, crisis intervention, and conducting family therapy sessions. Your expertise will guide patients in accessing therapeutic treatment skills to achieve optimal emotional health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual, couples, and family counseling with a focus on engagement, collaboration, and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with community agencies for patient assessment and service coordination.
- Evaluate and document the effectiveness of interventions and patient responses.
- Assess the psychosocial, educational, and behavioral functioning of patients and update documentation accordingly.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings to ensure holistic patient care.
- Utilize age-specific considerations in treatment planning and intervention.
- Respond promptly to social work service requests and contribute to the effective functioning of patient programs.
- Education & Licensure: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a clinical-related mental health field preferred. Illinois State license in social work or clinical-related mental health field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills. Strong clinical assessment skills preferred.
- Additional Skills: CPR certification and management of aggressive behavior training required within 30 days of employment prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. Must pass a competency exam for the area upon hire. Flexibility to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Duration: 4-8 weeks, Contract to Hire
- Hours: Tuesday thru Saturday, 7:00am-3:00pm or 8:00am-4:00pm
- Pay Rate: $28-$30/hour
