Job Description

Performance Health is seeking a VP Sales - North America Direct to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and leading the sales strategy across the NA Market. This role involves managing a team of 4 Regional Sales Managers, their sales team, and a team of Strategic Account Executives, to drive market leading growth in hospitals, VA Hospital, and large Outpatient Rehab Chains. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in healthcare sales, exceeding quotas, strong sales leadership skills, extensive knowledge of GPO Contracts and the ability to navigate complex sales environments.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Leadership:
Develop and execute the sales strategy for multiple segments; Acute, VA Hospitals and large Outpatient Rehab Chains Ensuring alignment with company's goals and objectives.
Utilize strong leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and engage the sales team, fostering a positive and high-performing work environment.
Coach the Regional Sales Managers to own their region and to develop and drive their team of Sales Consultants. Hold teams accountable and ensure RMs are doing what is needed to overachieve their quotas.
Set and achieve or exceed revenue goals, and profitability objectives.
Use data to drive strategic objectives.
Prioritize the various potential areas of focus, leveraging sales and marketing efforts to drive growth.
Ability to develop strong relationships with internal functional areas, customers, and the Group Purchasing Organizations.
Team Management:
Recruit, train, and develop the RSM's and SAE sales team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and success.
Through in-person ad remote activates provide coaching to improve skills and outcomes.
Collaborate with Human Resources to develop and create career development plans for the sales team using the career maps and other tools available.
Collaborate with Sales Training to identify and roll out Training programs to improve Sales performance and Brand / Product understanding.
Market & Customer Engagement:
Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within hospitals, GPOs, and VA hospitals.
Understand market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies.
Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote the company's offerings and gather market intelligence.
Sales Operations:
Utilize the Profit Optics sales systems to manage sales processes, track performance metrics, and drive efficiencies.
Work closely with the Sales Operations team to gain data driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision making.
Oversee the development and delivery of sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.
Ensure compliance on all customer and GPO contracts.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
Develop and implement sales plans that align with the company's business objectives and market opportunities.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and promotional activities for all segment.
Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations to the executive team.
Performs other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field
Minimum of 15 years of experience in sales or operations leadership roles, with at least 10 years in a leadership role within the healthcare industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing sales teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically.
Proficiency in using sales systems, ideally Profit Optics, to drive sales performance.
Deep understanding of the healthcare industry, hospital procurement processes, and GPO/VA contract management.
Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel
Ability to travel 25-50% of the time, including overnight travel
