Job Description:

Position Overview:
The Production Team Lead plays a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the daily operations of the manufacturing workflow. This position involves both coordinating activities and directly contributing to the production process. The Production Team Lead works closely with management to meet departmental goals and objectives, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing strategic guidance to team members. This role requires effective prioritization of tasks, seamless coordination of material and labor flow, and a commitment to maintaining high productivity and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Workflow Coordination: Manage and streamline daily manufacturing activities, ensuring an efficient and organized workflow.
Individual Contribution: Actively participate in the production process, demonstrating best practices and setting a high standard for team performance.
Goal Alignment: Collaborate with management to align departmental objectives with overall company goals, ensuring scheduled deliveries are met.
Team Guidance: Provide clear direction to personnel on work sequencing, task prioritization, and problem-solving to maintain productivity and quality.
Resource Management: Optimize the use of materials and labor to enhance efficiency and reduce waste throughout the manufacturing process.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in workflow processes and implement effective solutions.
Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance metrics, making adjustments as needed to meet production targets.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Planning, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to coordinate production, project, rework, and service priorities, taking into account personnel skills, shipment priorities, and backlog.
Recruitment Support: Assist with the interview process by screening prospective production and test personnel.
Issue Resolution: Escalate personnel concerns and assist in the resolution of grievances.
Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the production team.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience as a lead or equivalent in a production environment, specifically with electronic and mechanical assemblies.
Ability to read and understand engineering prints, schematics, drawings, parts lists, component specifications, and other documentation related to product manufacturing.
