The Bruker MALDI Biotyper is a revolutionary product which uses MALDI-TOF technology to generate rapid, accurate and cost-effective microorganism identifications. The Bruker MALDI Biotyper Microbiology Sales Account Executive will be responsible for all sales activities for the microbiology marketplace within their assigned territory. In this role they will be responsible for building and managing their sales pipeline in order to meet and exceed their objectives for both revenue and customer satisfaction. The territory for this position includes the East Central Territory and the employee can be located in any of the following states: Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky or Tennessee. 

 


Responsibilities

 

Supporting alliance partners sales efforts.
Building and maintaining a sales pipeline for Bruker products and services, and navigating a complicated selling cycle.
Building and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders within assigned territory.
Use and curation of CRM system for opportunity, lead follow-up and revenue tracking.
Managing local and regional conventions and participating in national shows.
Interacting and collaborating with internal departments to meet QSR and regulatory requirements.
Effective manage business and travel expenses.

 


Qualifications

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum of 5 years' of capital equipment sales and demonstrated success selling complex diagnostic products and services.
Ability to see the big picture and to identify and qualify customer needs and to present solutions to different levels within an account (technical, financial and executive)
A microbiology background is strongly recommended (clinical, food, veterinary or pharmaceutical), must be able to speak to lab personnel/scientists

Education and/or Experience: BA/BS degree in relevant scientific fields (microbiology, biology, chemistry)

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Medical Technologist Background would be a plus.

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office and Outlook including ability to work with advanced applications for EXCEL.

Other Skills and Abilities:
Excellent verbal, written, computer and technical communication and presentation skills.
Self- motivated individual who is excited about new challenges and opportunity to effect/drive substantial changes in current testing processes.
Analytical ability in order to diagnosis business problems and propose appropriate solutions.
Adaptability - able to work in and with multiple departments.

Individual must plan and execute their travel according to company travel guidelines and within expense budget objectives.

COMMENTS: Individual will have to meet standards established for performance in 30,60, 90 days of initial hire for continued employment with Bruker.
