Summary
Medline is looking for a Manager, IT Controls and Risk to lead Medlines new IT Controls function in Supply Chain Technology space. This self-starter will be designing and implementing IT control expectations for Medline Supply Chain systems, developing controls documentation (e.g., policies, standards, guidelines, templates, control narratives, risk control matrices), and training control owners on control execution. The IT Controls team will ensure the implement solutions meet the Companys IT control requirements, verify controls are operating effectively after implementation, and develop and track remediation plans to completion

 

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Help to define specific control expectations of Supply Chain Technology related to information integrity, confidentiality, and availability.
  • Execute IT controls following standardized approaches, standards, and templates to support control owners in executing IT controls.
  • Provide formal and informal training to control owners on how best to operate and evidence control execution.
  • Define and execute reviews to ensure new applications, third party and home-grown, adhere to defined control requirements during implementation.
  • Design and execute programs for monitoring application adherence to control requirements on a periodic basis.
  • Maintain a risk register to manage non-compliance and remediation efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage controls automation and perform continuous monitoring.
  • Administer and configure tools used in the execution of IT controls program activities (e.g., GRC platforms, access management tools).
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress (i.e. control owner adoption) against established program targets for reporting to leadership.
  • Build trusted relationships with cross-functional IT and business partners (e.g., Internal Audit, Privacy, Compliance, Operation, etc.) to ensure alignment of controls program objectives and priorities across the organization..
  • Stay current with the latest risk management trends, control and risk methodologies, and data and privacy regulations.
  • Manage a staff of controls and risk professionals, hire and train new staff, conduct performance reviews, and provide leadership and coaching, including technical and personal development programs for team members
  • Demonstrated project and team management skills with the ability to track and report progress against established milestones, metrics, and deliverablesEducation
  • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Risk Management, Business, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
