Description:

The Admissions & Records Representative (Records Specialist) is primarily responsible for assisting the Registrar's Office staff in the grading processes, the professional licensure certification (Bar Exams) maintenance, the student exam process, and the attendance process. The Records Specialist is also responsible for maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of a student's academic records and personal information under the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). The Records Specialist shall work closely with students and faculty and collaborate with various administrative offices, including Admissions, Financial Aid, Business & Finance, Student Life & Leadership, Information Technology (ITS), Education Technology, and the Dean's Office. This position supports the law school's mission to recruit, retain, and graduate talented and diverse students.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Collaborating with the law school Associate Registrar and the law school Registrar to assist with grading processes, including: - Communications and training on grading timelines and procedures to faculty, staff, and students. - Grade roll timing procedures with the University registrar's office. - Grade entry timing and reporting.
Collaborating with the law school Associate Registrar and the law school Registrar and assists in administering post-term academic processes related to: - bar exam processes, including bar certifications and internal pre- and post-bar exam reports. - determining and preparing academic honors and honors eligibility lists and communicating to appropriate school officials.
Collaborate with the other front desk administrative staff to greet and direct visitors, answer phones, take messages, respond to inquiries, provide direction and resources according to university and department policy, and triage and/or escalate as necessary.
Collaborating with the law school Assistant Registrar and the law school Registrar and assists in administering post-term academic processes related to: - attendance tracking and associated procedures and communications.
Collaborating with the law school Student Assessment Manager and the law school Registrar and assists in administering exams related to: - Exam review - Exam communication
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
