The Software group within the Molecular Imaging Research and Development organization are responsible for:
  • Major portions of the Image Formation chain through our PET/SPECT acquisition and reconstruction software
  • The main user interface to the scanner in the form of our PET/SPECT scan console software and associated tablets
  • Post-processing software, from basic viewers to more targeted advanced applications in the areas of Oncology, Cardiology, and Neurology
  • Providing key elements of the Service infrastructure and applications
  • Ensuring our software is released in an efficient and compliant manner, including effective manual and automated testing.

Your role:
  • You will have the opportunity to help deliver the future of healthcare - by facilitating great teams of engineers, forging productive relationships with internal and external partners, making insightful trade-off decisions, and fostering a high-efficiency software development environment.
  • You will support multiple global development teams and ensure efficient running of software releases and support the broader Agile Release Train for our SPECT and PET product portfolio.
  • You will work with the wider software and R&D organization to improve processes, define tooling requirements, and roll-out tools and training.
  • Thus, successful candidates will have a solid track record of engineering leadership, coaching to deliver operational excellence, and a demonstrated ability to be highly adaptive and act as a source of direction and confidence in ambiguous situations.
Your expertise:
  • Knowledgeable in the evolution of Software Development Lifecycles and state of the art thereof.
  • Experience across the entire software development lifecycle, including sustaining activities.
  • Experience of people management, including attracting, developing, and retaining talent.
  • Experience in building a robust and efficient organization with iterative/incremental feature flow.
  • Experience of the Scaled Agile Framework.
  • Experience of multicultural remote teams and working across time zones.
  • Experience in a regulated industry preferred.
Required Skills, Education and Experience for this position:

  • Technical expertise in one or more of the following: software engineering, project management, functional management, process engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to cost, schedule, and execute across multiple teams to deliver quality solutions on time
  • Demonstrated ability in all aspects of hiring - creating staffing plans, writing job descriptions, attracting talent, and making great hires
  • A track record of challenging the status quo to introduce new processes and tools that result in measurable software development improvements or broader organizational outcomes
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field; Master's degree or equivalent preferred
  • Passion for technology, computing, automation, and software
