How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As the Supply Chain and Scheduling Manager, you will be responsible leading all plant activities involved in sourcing, purchasing, production scheduling, schedule compliance tracking and inventory controls.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
Leadership:
Leads and supports the identification, development, and execution of site wide special projects
Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain and production schedule
Create positive interpersonal working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers
Provide strong analytical and problem-solving support to your team
Develop training and standard work for the department
Supply Chain Management:
Oversee the daily workflow of purchasing and part order processing.
Establish performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
Maintains and monitors detailed inventories of materials and supplies.
Maintains required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production.
Analyse current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.
Assists with negotiating prices for raw material and purchased components.
Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
Production Scheduling:
Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions
Gather and manage information to update production order status through production order confirmation
Utilize SAP to perform activities such as: work order generation, confirmations, capacity planning.
Conduct quarterly and year end inventories.
Manages the creation and maintenance of site wide cycle counting processes.
Creates and manages the plant master schedule

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)
We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience
5 years' manufacturing or supply chain related experience
2 years of experience with ERP/MRP systems with a manufacturing company
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
SAP
Planning and Scheduling fundamentals
Background in continuous improvement philosophy's
Skills in Microsoft Office software
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
Travel & Working Environment
Onsite
Manufacturing environment requires use of required Personal Protective Equipment, such as foot, eye and ear protection when in production locations
