Job Title: AISR Controller - Tier I

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (AISR) Operations Support Center (OCS) and is responsible for enabling various ISR assets leveraging the DoDIN infrastructure to accomplish their mission.
  • The AISR Controller functions as the end to end AISR call center and first level incident manager for AISR transport issues.
  • The AISR Controller will focus on triaging network/system issues, identifying the best course of action to restore service, escalating the issue to the correct system tier II technician/service desk, and tracking/reporting restoration and mission impact to the DISA Global leadership.
  • This role maintains situational awareness and reports the health, status, and availability of critical AISR transport terrestrial, satellite gateways and Full Motion Video (FMV) and other sensor data distribution to include identifying hazardous conditions (HAZCON).
  • The AISR Controller also assesses and reports unscheduled outages to the DISA Global watch desk and provides simultaneous near-real time situational awareness to the AISR community via the government provided collaboration tools.
  • Other duties include: dissemination of relevant AISR information, coordinate, support, and de-conflict scheduled maintenance and report unscheduled events to strategic and regional AISR mission partners in coordination with the DISA ASI manager.


Qualifications



  • Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.

  • Due to the nature of the work and US Government required, US Citizenship is required.
  • A minimum of two to Four year's of related experience
  • Basic knowledge of IP circuits and routers
  • DoD 8570 IAT-II certification (Security+, CCNA-Security, etc.) Required to start

Desired Qualifications:

  • The candidate must be able to multi-task and manage/prioritize workload to include monitoring multiple Network Monitoring Systems, fielding customer calls via unclassified and classified phone systems, maintain situational awareness via classified chat rooms, and utilizing Global TMS to document all steps taken to identify and resolve service affecting incidents.
  • This role is expected to perform advanced troubleshooting and network analysis to determine points of impact for outages and maintenance actions not coordinated with DISA, in addition to steps necessary to mitigate service impacting outages, degradations, or demand maintenance actions/control seizures.
  • Execute alt-route actions on high priority circuits with very short turnaround time to avoid mission failures due to lost link conditions on flight control circuits, loss of PED quality video feeds to PED sites, and loss
