Your role.
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
In audit, professionals will be planning, controlling analysis and testing, handling substantive procedures, identifying and assisting in the resolution of client issues, and reporting. By conducting objective diagnostic tests and analytical reviews, the auditor is responsible for the verification of a company's financial records by following Generally Accepted Auditing Principles.
Developing relationships with clients and staff, including involvement in networking and business development activities.
Assisting managers in developing ideas to help clients with operational and control opportunities or tax liabilities/exposures, client presentations and selling opportunities.
Managing actual time in relation to the engagement budget.

The qualifications.
2-5 years of recent public accounting experience
1+ years working with Japanese businesses (client, employer, or vendor relationships)
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; Master's degree preferred
CPA preferred. Required:
Completed the required 150 credit hours for CPA certification; and
Be willing to obtain the CPA within a defined period of time
Japanese language skills required - verbal and written
Position may be filled as a staff or senior based on transferable experience
Qualified individuals must either reside in or near the Illinois, Michigan, or Ohio areas or be willing to relocate to one of these areas for this opportunity. This position may require some local and occasional national travel.

This is an exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.
