Job Description
JOBSUMMARY:
Directlyin charge of schedulingdrivers to make deliveries andpick up packages from customers and vendors. Also work as a liaison between customers, drivers, and management.

Schedulingdriverstomakefreightdeliveryorcollectshipmentsandpackages
Communicatingwithcustomersandvendorsaboutfreightdetails,pickupanddrop-offtimes,andspecial requests
Planningpredeterminedroutesfordrivers
Identifyingtrafficproblemsandissuesandcreatingappropriatecorrectiveactionplanstoachievedesirable results on time.
Preparing general dispatch documents for management,as well as pullinganydocuments that employees, customers, or vendors will need
Maintainarecordofalldispatchcalls,driverroutes,routechanges,aswellasdeliveryandpick-uptimes
Monitoringtruckrepairsandmaintenanceschedules
Loggingvendorcomplaintsorconcerns
Answeringphonecallsfromvendors,customers,andmanagementandhelpingthemasneeded.
