Job Description
Motorola Solutions, Inc. Corporate Counsel. Chicago, IL. Provide legal support for assigned go-to-market sales territories selling to state and local governments. Support the assigned region, identifying risks and proposing alternatives/solutions. Research and respond to general legal inquiries related to contract disputes, new business initiatives and regulatory issues. Prepare, draft, review, redline, negotiate, and analyze various types of commercial contracts, including large communication systems, software as a service (SaaS), and other sales-oriented contracts prevalent in the communications industry. Providing legal responses to internal business teams for competitive procurement opportunities and for sole source sales opportunities. Review the solicitation, analyze the legal and business risks, and provide the exceptions to mitigate the legal and business risks identified on a short timeline, ensuring compliance with government and customer-imposed requirements. Assist with contract disputes, including understanding the issues, researching and providing guidance on solutions, and drafting settlement agreements. Provide legal support to Latin America on a case-by-case basis. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere within the U.S. Salary Range: $86,819 - 166,200/year. Full-time.
