Job Description

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Project Delivery Specialist in Chicago, Illinois and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do
Drive software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope. Drive the evaluation of technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation. Identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation. Transform detailed requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document; support creation of interface specifications and call flows for the various components in the design. Gain exposure to multiple industries and service lines while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by engagement follow-on opportunities.
     • 80% Travel required nationally
     • Telecommuting permitted
     • Work location includes various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 2 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 2 years of related work experience in each of the following:

     • Designing and developing applications using .NET Core, Amazon DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Docker, Atlassian Jira, and Confluence to meet functional needs for software applications;
     • Utilizing Unified Modeling Language (UML), Microsoft (MS) Visio, and SAP Signavio to create process and data flow diagrams, and user stories and Agile methodology using Atlassian Jira, and Software Requirements Specification (SRS) to convert business requirements into development models;
     • Developing and launching automation solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS) SageMaker, C#, Python, Agile, Srum, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies, and Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN);
     • Delivering and deploying custom developed applications for clients, including prototyping, code development, modularization, unit testing, configuration and defect management, and production deployment, utilizing requirements gathering, Jira, Confluence, Figma, Git, JUnit, MS Visual Studio and Teams, and Docker;
     • Performing software development in development environments and web service testing using test planning, functional, load, performance, security, and automated testing, documentation, collaboration, monitoring and reporting utilizing Postman, Simple Object Access Protocol User Interface (SoapUI), Swagger, and Curl;
     • Designing and maintaining coding standards to enhance application development using C#, SonarQube, Jenkins, Git, GitHub, and Visual Studio or VSCode;
     • Performing aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations and urgent issues utilizing SeviceNow, Jira, and Confluence; and
     • Performing data cleansing and conversions, interface design and development, and systems development life cycle (SDLC), utilizing Talend, MS Excel, React, Jira, and methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, and DevOps.
