The SVP, Private Client Chief Risk and Claims Officer position is a crucial role that builds, drives and implements long term strategic and operational initiatives within HUB’s Private Client Group (HUB PCG) toward long-term top tier performance. This role reports directly to the EVP, Head of HUB Private Client Group and is a highly visible role requiring effective stakeholder management, coordination, and connectivity across the organization.

The ideal candidate has broad strategic thinking and strong execution capabilities. They are able to effectively influence and be connected across the organization as well as be able to create structure out of ambiguity.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Creates the vision, long-term strategy and tactical execution plans for HUB PCG Loss Prevention and Claims, focusing in the areas of customer experience, operational excellence, risk management, carrier relations and technology

+ Partners and aligned to local Claims LOB leaders to identify long-term opportunities

+ Works closely with cross functional partners across marketing, risk advisory, claims, technology and the Field to understand needs and translates them into appropriate action

+ Drives enablement of cross-functional work such as annual strategic planning, catastrophe planning, , executive presentation support, and project management of emerging high priority projects and initiatives

+ Actively builds and champions strategic direction across the Firm and ensures alignment within HUB PCG and across the entire organization

+ Efficiently and effectively project manages large multi-workstream initiatives, meeting broad stakeholder needs for ongoing communication and delivering on all milestones

+ Builds relationships, supports, and collaborates with HUB regional offices

+ Develop and drive the carrier management claims strategies for High Net Worth Personal Lines.

+ Provides SME and best practice consultation and support as a member of the Risk Management and Claim community at HUB and as an expert in the High Net Worth space

+ Builds internal claims capabilities through education and advising services across HUB

QUALIFICATIONS:

+ At least 10 years of experience in the insurance industry: property and casualty, risk management, life and health insurance and bank related insurance products in a senior production and/or leadership role

+ Experience with building, managing, and developing a team of industry professionals

+ Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred

+ High degree of business acumen is required

+ Legal background is a plus

+ Proven and significant industry knowledge required

+ Experience engaging with external industry leaders to drive policy and practice changes

+ Must be knowledgeable of industry standards and regulations and maintain all required industry licenses

+ History of keeping commitments and informing others about work progress, timetables, and issues

+ Able to address problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions

+ Works effectively as a leader across all levels of the organization

+ Must be proficient in Microsoft office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint

+ Active participation in business groups and organizations that drive Claims excellence

Required Experience: 10-15 years of relevant experience

Required Travel: Up to 25%
