A well-respected non-profit Bronzeville, Chicago is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee the organization’s ongoing operations and procedures. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader able to manage the financial and human resources of our center. The COO will have prime responsibility for establishing and driving the company’s operational strategy and ensuring efficient internal operations to support this strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Manage the center’s daily operations including financial management, HR, facilities and IT management

+ Work with the executive director to ensure the organization meets its goals and objectives

+ Develop and implement a sustainable fundraising strategy

+ Manage performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience

+ Experience in a non-profit organization preferred; especially financial and operational management

+ Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills

+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other administrative software programs
