The Director of Strategic Marketing – Agriculture will report to the President of the Agriculture Platform and have primary responsibility for developing

a robust Agriculture Platform strategy that focuses on organic as well as inorganic growth in core

business industries with a strong focus on a sustainable future. Included

in this set of responsibilities is the exploration of new market segments, business case

formulation and prioritization, and working closely with commercial leadership to complement

and augment the current portfolio of Banjo and KZ Valve products. This role has a significant responsibility in

ensuring key business targets are achieved with potential pathway to future leadership

positions.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

- The Director of Strategic Marketing will develop long-term growth strategies for all

business units under the Agriculture Platform to drive double digit growth, annually

- Work with the leadership team, corporate strategy counterparts, and business leads to

move forward the strategy, identify key priorities and choices to deliver as part of the business

strategy, and manage trade-offs required to realize vision

- Support high-priority areas including conducting analysis on key competitors and potential

sources of disruption; framing and structuring disparate ideas and information to make them

concrete and actionable

- Conduct both quantitative and qualitative analyses to evaluate new market opportunities for

the enterprise that extend beyond our current businesses, and develop associated business

cases and recommendations for the platform’s future

- Evaluate key organizational questions in terms of organic growth to

ensure our company is best positioned to deliver on our commitments to customers, clients,

and shareholders

- Research emerging solutions and work with internal stakeholders to determine business

rationale for adoption, potential value, and tradeoffs associated with developing new or

improved digital solutions

- Develop growth strategy and 3-year strategic plan for our multiple business segments

- Lead initiatives to drive acquisition and penetration of customers by leveraging both sales and

channel

- Make recommendations on best solutions from customer and business perspective including

content creation and end to end customer journey mapping

- Develop, implement and enforce Pricing Strategy across the Energy Platform

- Collaborate with Product Management professionals across the platform to increase expertise

centered around portfolio lifecycle management, understanding and influencing financial

outcomes and roadmap development

Miscellaneous and Other

- Working with business units to create and define ‘80’ Customer & Channel Strategies

- Apply best practices across the platform to simplify and focus strategic and tactical

efforts to maximize return on investments, with strong focus on NPD/NPI and product life cycle management

processes across business units

- Work with business units to drive segmentation across the platform

- Present on growth roadmap to ELT including CEO to drive key transformation initiatives as needed

Required Education and Experience

- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Industrial Technology, or Engineering, or related field

- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in marketing and/or product management with

strong marketing focus required.

- Strong commercial aptitude

- Clear and concise communication skills with all levels of the organization

- Ability to lead and interact with cross functional teams and end customers via multiple

channels

- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills

- Demonstrated experience using data to driven optimization decisions

- Demonstrate a consistent, dependable, and positive work ethic

- Critical thinking and problem-solving ability: synthesize findings from analysis and draw

conclusions

- Demonstrated knowledge of key financial metrics and business case development

- Strong project management skills, solid analytical skills and attention to detail

- Willingness to travel up to 40%

Preferred Education and Experience

- Master’s in Business Administration

- Experience in market adjacency discovery and research

- Minimum of 7 years of market development management experience

- Experience in the Agriculture Sector preferred

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $134,400.00 – $201,600.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
