Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager – Consumer Public Relations will lead a team of three media relations professionals to source, pitch and place news stories that build United’s reputation and promote the airline’s commercial business – including United’s global route network and MileagePlus loyalty program. This role will provide strategic communications counsel to C-suite executives and will be adept at building consensus, gaining/maintaining trust and navigating matrixed organizations.

This role will also closely partner with United’s advertising and social media team to ideate and execute integrated communications campaigns, deepen United’s relationships with social media influencers and improve efforts to promote the airline’s unique destinations.

The Senior Manager is a passionate consumer of news, has a deep understanding of what does (and doesn’t) make a good story and has a proven track record of generating earned news coverage without the benefit of big budgets or new product announcements. This Senior Manager has a comfortable and confident executive presence and thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
