The Role

The Senior Manager Information Security manages Lumen technical resources to facilitate the growth and implementation of Lumen Professional Security Services. Leads a team to identify compliance and risk in client operations and provides technical narrative to business stakeholders. Supports local and global and strategic client accounts. The role requires a broad horizontal skill set and core competencies in managed hosting, security, network, cloud solutions and lifecycle management and reporting. In addition to experience in leading technical teams, competency in areas such as: security consulting, business acumen, relationship building, financial reporting and client interaction are required.

The Main Responsibilities

- Advanced-level experience in security consulting and advisory services, performs program-level work with minimal oversight, and provides mentorship to junior level colleagues.

- Proficient in business communication, delivery of technical and executive level presentations, and the ability to clearly articulate highly complex security attack and defense topics both written and verbally.

- Develop and deliver a comprehensive analysis of all technical findings and debrief the Lumen customers’ technical and executive teams.

- Ability to independently identify and resolve program-level problems, develop and implement strategic improvement plans, and to provide leadership to colleagues.

- Take initiative and proactively seek out new assignments to improve Lumen Security Advisory Service delivery platforms, methodologies, and customer consumables.

- Ability to independently develop and deliver comprehensive analysis of all levels of information security controls, provide continuous improvements to content and supporting procedures, and identify new business opportunities within the security consulting service capabilities.

- Work with all the necessary security points of contact within Lumen, support design of security consulting service offerings.

- Provide subject matter expertise, understand requirement nuances, and transform customer requirements into target state deliverables.

- Create standardized deliverable templates, statement of work templates, pricing templates, tear sheets, sales presentations, and sales collaterals.

- Must be capable of creating high quality security consulting service product deliverables.

- Assess broad trends in the IT security space and propose, develop recommendations that address evolving customer needs.

- Provide leadership, mentoring, and training to junior staff members.

What We Look For in a Candidate

- 5+ years of relevant experience in cyber- and information security field and managing technical security teams.

- 5-10 years of experience as an information security professional, 5-7 of which should be in information security consulting.

- Operate in both single- and multi-person customer-facing engagements to achieve Lumen delivery expectations.

- Provides Security Consulting Services for Lumen Professional Security Services opportunities.

- Create reusable security services and assets (collection tools, estimation models).

- Work with practice leads, sales and sales support, and business teams to convey customer feedback as input to security productized services.

- Demonstrated ability to integrate parties that may be required during solution development to ensure seamless integration, and scoping for productized services.

- Provides domain leadership across various Security technologies and service offerings.

- Demonstrates knowledge of end-to-end information security strategies, standards, processes, and tools necessary for Security solution design.

- Demonstrates technical security and advisory leadership for customers, sales, and other consultants.

- Solid understanding of security tasks related to networking, and security platforms in corporate IT infrastructure environments.

- Ability to work within an Agile environment.

- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

- Able to successfully interact with audiences that may include senior executives, IT management, and technical staff.

- Process-oriented with a focus on attention to detail.

- Work well with others and able to work in a self-directed manner.

- Demonstrate initiative with the ability to work well under pressure.

- Maintain a technical skill set that matches the evolving security of Lumen customers and corresponding security services.

- Commitment to excellence and willingness to do what is necessary to get the job done.

- Ability to travel in support of meetings, presentations, conferences, and similar events.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with preferable focus on Cybersecurity and/or equivalent experience.

- At least two industry-recognized certifications related to security consulting services:

o ISC2 (e.g.,CISSP, SSCP, CCSP, etc.)

o ISACA (e.g., CISA, CSX-, CISM, etc.)

o Other industry-relevant certifications

- Experience operating in a Tier 1 consulting firm.

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee’s primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$111480 – $148630 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.

$117340 – $156450 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.

$123210 – $164280 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.

$129080 – $172100 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.

As with the pay range variety that’s based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
