The Senior Strategy Analyst (specialized in grants & incentives) is a key role supporting the Electrification & Energy Solutions (E+ES) business within the Caterpillar Energy & Transportation Division. This position supports the E+ES business through coordinating and supporting several grants & incentives projects across the division.

What You Will Do:

+ The candidate supports complex global grants and incentives projects.

+ Provide writing support to the engineering team when applying for grants.

+ Collecting data, preparing reports as well as PMO tasks supporting the team in applying for grants & incentives.

+ Responsible to gather data, conduct interviews and provide input for the division on incentive programs.

+ Demonstrates a big picture understanding of the business, its interrelationships, and priorities.Demonstrates strong foundation of business fundamentals, measurement, and business finance.Develops business cases for own function; reviews and critiques cases for other functions.

What You Have:

+ Education/Experience : This position typically requires either an engineering background or a strategy & project/program management background and 6+ years of job-related experience; Strong background in regulations, grants, and incentives preferably within an international matrix organization and/or global consultancies is preferred; Strong background in working with R&D teams, engineers

+ Consulting: Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately. Participates in developing consulting opportunities or assignments.

+ Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of “big picture” thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.

+ Producing Results: Understanding of the criticality of getting things done in spite of current circumstances and the ability to utilize assigned resources and leverage back-channel resources (individuals or teams) to achieve or exceed planned outcomes.

+ Stakeholder Management: Knowledge of stakeholder management techniques; ability to systematically identify stakeholders, analyze their needs and expectations, and implement various tasks to engage with them.

+ Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

+ Writing skills: you know how to gather data and elaborate/explaining them in reports

Top Candidates Will Have:

+ Experience working with R&D teams, engineers

+ Strong background in regulations, grants, and incentives

+ Project Management experience

Additional Info :

+ The primary location for this position is Mossville, Chicago, Peoria or Irving

+ Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify

+ International and Domestic travel up to 10%
