Position Summary
Huron has an immediate need for an individual to join our team with direct and indirect experience in supplier contract work, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment, with primary emphasis on drafting and negotiating contracts with suppliers and various other third parties. The position will report to the Manager of Supplier Contracting. This role will be a key part a dynamic Procure to Pay team. Candidate must have excellent communication and writing skills, effective negotiation experience, outstanding business and analytical judgment, and a strong sense of inclusion and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Responsible for working supplier requests through the entire supplier contracting cycle, from initial draft to finalization and signature, driving contract redlining, negotiations, and approvals to timely and successful completion.
- Reviews, drafts, and negotiates a wide range of supplier commercial agreements including master services agreements, staffing support agreements, technology license/subscription agreements, sub-Business Associate Agreements, amendments and addendums, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Drive the end-to-end contract management process for all global supplier requests, with the majority of requests originating in the US and subject to US law.
- Knowledge of typical negotiation positions for supplier contracts with ability to articulate and negotiate company positions persuasively.
- Demonstrate a solid knowledge of contract law, including independent contractor classification qualifications, data privacy regulations (including GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, and HIPAA) as it applies to Huron’s engagement of international contingent workers and technologies that process sensitive data.
- Fosters collaborative working relationships with Huron global stakeholders, including internal business clients (such as executives, corporate department leads, consultants, supplier due diligence stakeholders) as well as with Huron suppliers.
- Assist and guide engagement owners/partners within the business on contract process questions, as well as supplemental supplier due diligence.
- Assists internal business clients and executives in ensuring Huron is compliant with contract provisions.
- Proactive mindset in seeking process enhancements, removing barriers to success, and managing strategic projects or initiatives.
- Superb attention to detail and responsiveness in a high-volume, customer-focused, and fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism and outstanding business judgment requiring minimal supervision.
- A 3-5 years of contracting experience; supplier commercial contracting preferred.
- Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts required; experience of variety of complex commercial agreements including master services agreements, software as a service, license, subscription, or other types of technology purchase agreements preferred.
- Experience with contracts lifecycle management and CLM software preferred.
- Highly motivated, strategic, detail-oriented approach with the ability to pro-actively organize a heavy workload and demonstrate excellent negotiation skills and analytical abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly to both internal and external customers, at all seniority levels among our internal clients and our suppliers.
- Ability to work quickly and independently, with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Interest in accomplishing goals, exceeding expectations, and growing in role.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to think critically with a solution-driven mindset.
- Functional knowledge of Procurement.
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Professional Law Degree preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and PDF is essential.

The estimated base salary range for this job is $80,000 – $110,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $92,000 – $129,800. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
