Caterpillar OEM Solutions, within Resource Industries organization, has an exciting opportunity for a Sales/Cost of Sales Accountant supporting the OEM business. This position performs a variety of activities such as sales and cost of sales analysis, order backlog reporting, results reporting, forecasting and supporting the business partners within the organization. The position will act as a team lead and help to align the OEM solutions business with ongoing Global Finance initiatives.

This position will offer the opportunity to provide financial planning, analysis, and reporting support to a fast-paced, innovative, and growing global organization. This role will encourage candidates to develop and demonstrate communication, presentation, and financial analysis skills, along with providing avenues to interact regularly with senior management within Resource Industries and other cross functional groups within the enterprise.

Responsibilities

+ Consolidate month-end results and prepare accountable cascade journal entries.

+ Maintain financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards.

+ Create reports on financial performance for internal and external use.

+ Create and utilize automated tools for the updating, analyzing and reporting of consolidated financial results.

Skills needed for success in role:

+ Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Equivalent; 3+years applicable work experience; SAP experience a plus

+ Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

+ Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

+ Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.

+ Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

+ Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.

+ This position is located in our Mossville, IL office

+ This role is a full time, Hybrid position and currently requires 3 days a week in office
