Job Description

Description We are seeking a Controller for our team in Libertyville, Illinois. The successful candidate will play an integral role in managing our accounting systems, including leveraging Realpage for accounting work. This role involves managing a small team of 2 to 4 employees and provides a unique opportunity to gain experience in the Affordable Housing industry.

Responsibilities:

- Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to manage accounting functions.

- Oversee the use of ADP – Financial Services for efficient financial management.

- Ensure compliance with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) regulations.

- Supervise the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Conduct regular auditing to ensure financial accuracy.

- Manage budget processes to ensure cost-effectiveness.

- Leverage Realpage software to streamline accounting tasks.

- Regularly liaise with accounting firms for professional advice.

- Manage a small team, fostering a self-driven and autonomous work environment.

- Apply industry-specific knowledge, particularly in the Affordable Housing sector. Requirements

- Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Controller role or similar capacity.

- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential.

- Familiarity with ADP – Financial Services is required.

- Experience in DCAA compliance is necessary.

- Proficiency in ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning is essential.

- Knowledge of ERP Solutions is required.

- Demonstrated experience in Accounting Functions is necessary.

- Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.

- Auditing experience is necessary.

- Familiarity with Budget Processes is required.
