The Role

As a Lumen Sr. Analyst on the Mass Markets Finance team, you will support capital investment management and driving efficiencies and cost reduction for the Mass Markets business. In this role, you will provide financial analysis and reporting to support various teams’ capital initiatives. The right individual will have exceptional financial analytic skills, ability to gain consensus among diverse stakeholders, and a proven track record of driving cost efficiency programs.

Location

This position has been designated as fully remote; however, we have a strong preference for Colorado applicants.

The Main Responsibilities

+ Solves complex problems by taking a broad perspective to identify solutions

+ Ability to interpret insightful narratives from both quantitative and qualitative data

+ Evaluate various line of business capital investments and work with business owner(s) to drive capital efficiency

+ Produce a concise and clear end-product for Executive level review

+ Develop detailed financial models, valuation scenarios, and decision analytics

+ Scrutinize inputs and assumptions for reasonableness and push back when needed

+ Review, approve, and process capital funding requests

+ Ability to embrace different points of view and welcomes opposing and conflicting ideas

+ Partner in the modeling of the business units’ long-range strategic plan(s)

+ Work with the data scientists and software development teams to identify opportunities to implement capital control automation and process enhancements

What We Look For in a Candidate

+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business or relevant field or equivalent experience

+ Minimum?3 years related experience

+ Proven analytical and problem-solving skills; proficient building complex financial models

+ Ability to use advanced Excel functions.?

+ Ability to structure and convey ideas and information, both verbally and in written presentation form, in a concise, effective, and persuasive manner to bring clear understanding to the target audience

+ Ability to effectively collaborate with other teams across operating departments

+ Ability to organize and manage work in an efficient and effective manner to ensure task, milestones and goals are met according to defined timelines

+ Strong experience with collecting, managing, analyzing, and visualizing financial data

+ Ability to examine data from multiple sources to determine whether correlation and linkage exist between data sets

+ Working knowledge of Python and/or Power BI is a plus

+ Telecom or tech industry experience helpful but not required

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee’s primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$63980 – $85300 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.

$67340 – $89780 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.

$70710 – $94270 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.

$74070 – $98760 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.

As with the pay range variety that’s based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
