Comprehensive knowledge of security and network technologies with 3-5 years of experience working with the following IT security functions as applicable to the IT Security needs of either the Server or Network domains:
VPN, firewall, anti-virus protection, network/user authentication, intrusion detection, disk/file encryption, vulnerability assessment/mitigation, risk assessments, platform hardening, and incident response/reporting.
Description:
The Network engineer is primarily responsible for the implementation and support of enterprise security for both data technical infrastructure and ensuring that the hospital maintains a protected Information Technology (IT) infrastructure. The client is in need of this engineer as a result of a cyber attack this year. They are looking forsomeone to help create their firewall templates and run book for new Palo Alto firewall upgrade. Help assist in the upgrade from Juniper to Palo Alto, and asisst in a NAC conolidation.
Responsibilities:
Develops and manages complex projects related to the security infrastructure and related technologies; duties include facilitating meetings and leading efforts.
Advises management of potential IT security threats and mitigation strategies.
Provide analysis of system and network threats consistent with Security Certification and Accreditation.
Contributes to the development of System/Technology roadmaps. Reviews/evaluates designs to assure consistency with the overall security architecture.
Reviews multiple metrics, correlates anomalies that impact multiple systems, determines root causes, and implements corrective action. Configures solutions based on design in order to support project efforts and help mitigate against threats.Reviews multiple metrics, correlates anomalies that impact multiple systems, determines root causes, and implements corrective action.
Works with IT Security and Compliance Team for policy and design needs related to server, network infrastructure, host and application security.
Performs a backup role for other IT security duties as needed.
Serves as liaison to vendors for equipment and software maintenance.
Performs ongoing capacity and performance planning for enterprise security infrastructure and related technologies.
