Job Description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Work as a lead developer and architect in finance reference data projects. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Design and develop microservice applications and perform integration with other JPMC applications. Design and implement asynchronous communication between application components. Design and review builds of alternate hierarchies and taxonomies using data management tools. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Serve as core engineering lead to review and provide guidance for JPMC tool set, processes, and frameworks used for development of application suites.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as a Lead Software Engineer, Software Developer, Consultant (IT), Technical Manager, or related occupation.

Job Location: 10 South Dearborn Street, Chicago, IL 60603. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
