Job Title: Regional Safety ManagerJob Description

In this key role, you will work closely with the Manager, Corporate Safety department, and other Regional Safety Managers to provide leadership and direction on all Safety matters for assigned operations, branches and departments. You will measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the safety program, recommend and implement modifications as needed to achieve established safety goals and objectives. You will also direct the application and administration of established corporate safety programs throughout the company. Serving as a consultant to assigned regions and branches, you will establish plans to improve overall health and safety. Your responsibilities include assisting in the development and administration of programs, reports, and employee training workshops, conducting assessments of branches, work areas, and equipment, and monitoring site conditions, practices, and procedures for compliance with health and safety requirements. You will research emerging hazards/issues, communicate hazard control and loss information to management and employees through training programs, review accident investigations for prevention measures, and participate in professional and committee meetings related to health and safety issues. You will serve as a principal source of information on health and safety issues and protect the interest of the company and its employees as required by regulatory agencies.

Work Environment

This position requires collaborative work with different departments and branches. You will be expected to attend and participate in professional and committee meetings related to health and safety issues. Compliance with regulatory agencies such as OSHA, MSHA, EPA, etc. is a crucial part of the job.
