Job Description

The Body and Fuel Division, within the Illinois Tool Work (ITW) Automotive segment, drives profitability by leveraging its innovative solutions and application engineering. Responsibilities:

+ Manage a team of Advanced Processing Engineers to ensure best practices are documented and implemented

+ Set molding processes for all tool on new launching project to meet design intent

+ Develop process documents and handover to Operation for all new Programs

+ Ensure tools are built and run according to ITW standards

+ Develops team oriented annual goals for self and team to achieve AP and LRP objectives

+ P&L Responsibility for select KPIs related to the injection molding and tooling process

+ Manage and grow the Lessons Learned process

+ Develop and manage plant layouts divisionally with support from Advanced Manufacturing Supervisor

+ Manage enterprise wide capacity management of injection molding tooling and assets

+ Responsible for providing accurate estimates to the S&E teams to build accurate product pricing breakdowns

+ Manage the capital acquisition requests for programs requiring additional assets

+ Manage Annual and Long-Range Planning of Capital Asset acquisition (1 -5 years)

+ Review and Authorize RFQ for capital assets on a program basis

+ Manage key aspects of the APQP process pertaining to the injection molding and tooling process

+ Support the development of RCM practices pertaining to tooling, IMMs, and support infrastructure

+ Functions as a manufacturing expert for CBI project

+ KPI accountability SOP+ 90 days on all capital asset integrations per program

+ Support automation changes due to ECN

+ Function in team environment utilizing six sigma problem solving applications

+ Develop relationships between sales and engineering and operations team members

+ Achieve authorization from multiple team members on new equipment per standards

+ Develop and manage standardized tool build guidelines

+ Support operations and production teams on other projects as assigned

+ Must be able to travel internationally, max travel 30%

+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial engineering or equivalent experience required

+ Strong understanding of financial investment procedures and laws

+ Interpersonal skills to develop and maintain cross functional team building

+ Creative thinking and systematic problem solving a must

+ Good mechanical aptitude along with strong computer literacy skills required

+ Experience in injection molding required

+ Understanding of GD&T and interface application

+ 3D CAD systems knowledge required; Solid works preferred

+ Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles are a plus
