As an airline, safety is our most important principle. And our Corporate Safety team is responsible for making sure safety is top of mind in every action we take. From conducting flight safety investigations and educating pilots on potential safety threats to implementing medical programs and helping prevent employee injuries, our team is instrumental in running a safe and successful airline for our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

Senior Analysts – Safety Investigations support the Safety Assurance pillar of the Safety Management System (SMS) by tracking and trending operational data that the Flight Safety Investigations (FSI) team compiles during their monitoring of operational events. Senior Analysts manage continuous data reconciliation and quality control efforts to maintain integrity. Further, they convey their data findings through the completion of analyses/visualizations for operational and executive leaders. This position will specifically include the development of safety promotional materials from data that is obtained by the FSI & Accident Technical Response (ATR) Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the drafting and editing of safety promotional materials for the benefit of operational leaders and frontline pilots. Senior Analysts also support the Senior Manager, FSI & ATR by maintaining our high standard of technical response preparedness by facilitating training; planning and implementing accident preparedness drills; and auditing equipment. Through the Significant Injury/Damage Investigation (SIDI) process, Senior Analysts accomplish investigations into events involving aircraft damage and serious injuries where there is not an associated Flight Safety Investigation.

+ Support the Senior Manager, FSI & Accident Technical Response (ATR) by maintaining our high standard of technical response preparedness by facilitating training, planning and implementing accident preparedness drills, and auditing equipment

+ Develop safety promotional materials from data that is obtained by the FSI & ATR Team. Responsible for the drafting and editing of safety promotional materials for the benefit of operational leaders and frontline pilots.

+ Facilitate investigations for events involving aircraft damage and serious injuries where there is not an associated Flight Safety Investigation team member assigned

+ Support the Safety Assurance pillar of Safety Management System (SMS) by tracking and trending operational data. Continous data reconciliation and quality control efforts to maintan integrity. Convey data findings through completion of analyses/visualizations for operational and executive leaders.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

+ Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Safety, Computer Science, Data Analytics or 4 years relevant work experience

+ 3+ years of Computer Science, Data Analytics, and/or Technical Writing experience

+ Advanced Microsoft Office experise, SQL/Python, database query experience, data visualization/brand building and refining abilities, quantitative/statistical analytics expertise

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

+ Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

+ Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

+ 1-2 years of Aviation Safety-related experience

+ Investigatory abilities/experience
