Ball-Chatham School District 5 Ball-Chatham is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our existing Titan Talent as aSpecial Education Teacher at Glenwood High School!
Up to a $3,000 Sign-on BonusWHAT DO SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS DO?
+ Plans, develops, and implements an engaging, age-appropriate course of study in the classroom including activities that require higher levels of thinking, adhering to educational best practices and state and school district curriculum guidelines.
+ Prepares materials for lessons, assignments, and tests; uses a wide variety of oral and written techniques; evaluates, corrects, and grade student performance.
+ Supervises, directs, and supports volunteers and paraprofessionals in the classroom.
+ Revises plans on an ongoing basis, considering student needs, ability levels, and interests.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
+ Bachelor’s Degree
+ Hold a Professional Educator’s License(PEL) with content specific endorsement: LBSI
+ Ability to pass a criminal background check
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
+ Master’s Degree in Education
+ Previous teaching with high-school aged students
