An employer in the Chicagoland area is seeking a Radiation Therapist for a contract with possible extensions opportunity. This person will be reporting up through Radiation Oncology at a large hospital, part of a much larger recently merged health system. They will be tasked with administering radiation for the purpose of treating diseases, primarily cancer. They also will be performing simulations, treatment planning, and special procedures. In addition, they will be performing quality assurance activities, detecting equipment malfunctions and taking appropriate action, as well as performing weekly chart checks. This position is M-F 7:30-4pm, with no on-call requirements.

Skills and Requirements
IEMA License and application of ARRT, must obtain ARRT within 2 years of employment
Completion of Radiation Therapy program, minimum of a two-year associate degree/certificate required
Previous experience as a radiation therapist, or in radiation oncology if new grad
Experience with Varian or Aria multiple years experience as a radiation therapist
Local to Chicago
Experience with TrueBeam and/or Phillips null
