Job Description:

+ lab assistants will take samples from handling area and bring to technologists’ table

+ will be handling the enclosed samples with PPE but do not directly touch open swabs/perform tests on the samples

+ work in urinalysis department

+ work along UF1000 and UD10 machines

+ handle urine samples

+ take samples to lab technician’s table

+ clean prep area and instruments

+ store and sort samples in storage room

+ ensure inventory of instrumentation for testing in REMSTAR

+ handle samples for multiple lab technicians

+ push or lift up to 50 pounds

+ move between buildings to transfer samples

Qualifications:

+ Highschool Diploma or GED

+ Be able to lift up to 50 pounds

+ Able to work overnight

+ PLUS: previous medical/laboratory experience working with human samples

Job Type

This is a Contract position with a duration of 5 Month(s).

+ open ended based on workflow, attendance, and performance

+ possibility to convert for another shift or department AFTER contract portion and performance

Work Site

This is an onsite position in Elmwood Park, NJ.
