A global leading packaging solutions manufacturer near Elk Grove Village, Illinois is seeking a Plant Electrician to join their team. This well-established company has over 20 manufacturing facilities with 3,000+ employees worldwide. This position maintains new and existing electrical and electronic equipment within the plant to ensure that equipment and wiring are up to code and that optimal levels of quality and safety are met.

The hourly rate is commensurate with experience up to $40/hr plus excellent health & retirement benefits. All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

responsibilities:

+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical /electronic problems on company manufacturing equipment, basic computer networks, and accessories/peripheral systems including hardware and software

+ Utilize electronic testing equipment, wiring diagrams, and applications/tools available on the company’s laptop (Indra Works, Siemens, Allen Bradly, and Exor)

+ Install new electrical and electronic equipment and electrical wiring according to the National Electrical Code and company electrical standards

+ Maintain and repair electrical and electronic systems for Project facilities and equipment.

+ Work with the installation team to install and commission new equipment

+ Perform all work in compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety, and environmental regulations

+ Responsible for station lockout/tagout procedures as mandated by company policy
