2nd Shift Punch Press Setup/Operator
Job Description
We are seeking skilled Punch Press Operators for our 2nd shift opening. 2nd shift operates Monday to Thursday and runs from 2:30pm to 12:50am. The ideal candidate will be responsible for complex and difficult setups, running sample parts, making necessary adjustments, and maintaining operational safety and cleanliness.
Hard Skills
+ Plan press setups for various operations
+ Order and handle required materials
+ Install and align dies in press
+ Setup material on payoff reel and adjust feed
+ Perform first piece inspection and SPC procedures
+ Monitor press production and perform scheduled SPC
+ Tear down setups and manage scrap sorting
Soft Skills
+ Attention to detail
+ Ability to follow safety rules and maintain cleanliness
+ Effective communication with supervisors regarding material or press issues
+ Adaptability to work in other direct labor areas as needed
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Mount Prospect, Illinois.
